about me

I’m Avin (ay-vinh), a Melbourne-based filmmaker and visual storyteller, specialising in Docu-Style Vérité.

I’m drawn to the real, raw, and unfiltered nature of human emotion. Whether it’s the electricity inside a stadium or a quiet breath some takes before answering a vulnerable question, I’m there - not to direct, but to witness.

Since I’ve picked up my first point-and-shoot at 11, I’ve been chasing meaning through visuals. Over the years, I realised I wasn’t just filming moments - I was studying authenticity, timing, and emotional truth. That’s what shaped my practice, and eventually, my Vérité Framework.

My work is built on a simple belief:

Real stories don’t need spectacle - they need respect, intention, and integrity.

I collaborate with founders, brands, and creatives who value soul over hype - depth over noise, and narrative over novelty. If you’re building something with purpose; a campaign, a community, a movement, or your origin story - my role is to honour that with visuals that carry depth, craft and lasting connection.

My approach blends:

  • Observational documentary

  • Cinematic structure

  • Sound-driven craft

  • Genuine human connection

  • Systems & Frameworks that protect story integrity.

It’s Vérité at its core - but elevated, and refined with intention.

I’m here to create work that outlives the algorithm.
Work that feels lived-in, not fabricated.
Work which carries a legacy.

If you’re here, you probably care about telling your story right.
So do I.
